Power BI Resume in 2024

After going through more than 1500 Resumes. These are my Findings and Missing Elements in many students’ Power BI resume.✅

Must Compulsory 👇

  1. Personal Details like Marriage Status, Gender, Alternate Mobile No, Current Location, Nationality, DOB.
  2. Declaration is Compulsory at the end with name, place, date, and signature.
  3. Certifications are Compulsory in any form like from any reputed institute, or any app like Udemy or also Microsoft Certification.
  4. If your have experience then must have Projects in your resume with all proper details like Name of the Project, Domain, Team Size, Description of the Project, Roles, and Responsibilities.
  5. Use a proper good template of light + dark color combination which will have a good first impression.

If Possible Add 👇

  1. In Personal Details add Languages Known, Passport size photo, PAN card No, Passport No, Driving Licence No.
  2. Adding Client Name is Optional in Project.
  3. If possible add your LinkedIn I’d there.
  4. Also can add GitHub where your project portfolio is there.
  5. Add Soft Skills, like presentation and communication skills e.t.c
  6. Make important keywords BOLD.

Almost every student’s Power BI resume had these things 😊

  1. Technical Skills are mentioned properly.
  2. Professional Summary of one paragraph.

Don’t add this ❌

  1. Whether you’re doing Freelancing don’t ever add in your Resume. As it’s a conflict of interest and your resume will not be shortlisted or they might not hire you.
